Land Acknowledgement

Rancho Los Alamitos is located on ancestral and unceded land of the Tongva people, who cared for this land for thousands of years and continue to do so today. The Rancho sits atop the village of Puvuun’nga -- “the gathering place” -- the sacred site of creation for the Tongva-Gabrielino peoples.   

All of us who work at the Rancho are committed to sharing authentic narratives with our guests and building solid relationships with our Indigenous community partners.  As we gather in this place and time, we welcome you to join us in learning and reflection, and in the stewardship of the land that nurtures us.
