Join us for our next lecture of the 2024 season: Why Long Beach? Tracking the Cambodian Journey to California

In this lecture, Sithea San and Dr. Susan Needham will help answer questions they are most often asked, Why Long Beach? Why did Cambodians settle in Long Beach, California? and, How did the city become the largest community of Cambodians outside Southeast Asia? In this talk, our guest lecturers will present the history and development of the Cambodian community and discuss some of the many contributions Cambodians have made to their new home.

Mrs. Sithea San and her surviving family members immigrated to the US from Cambodia in 1981. She is currently the Coordinator of Community Health Education at Pacific Asian Counseling Services. Mrs. San has also held many leadership positions in the Long Beach Cambodian community.
