Group Visits

Group Visits (Special offerings for groups of 15+ visitors to Rancho Los Alamitos)

Discover the Story of Rancho Los Alamitos Together

Whether you're planning a visit with a garden club, historical society, community organization, corporate team, tour group, or family gathering, Rancho Los Alamitos offers a memorable experience where California's history, landscape, and diverse cultures come together.

Discover one of Southern California's most significant historic sites as you explore the Historic Ranch House, award-winning gardens, barns, and barnyard. Through the stories of the Gabrielino-Tongva people, early ranching families, agricultural workers, and generations of caretakers, visitors gain a deeper understanding of the people and landscapes that shaped our region.

Private group visits are designed for organized groups of 15 to 50 visitors, providing a more personal and engaging experience led by our knowledgeable volunteer docents.

Booking a group reservation provides additional benefits:
  • A private docent-guided tour tailored to your group’s interests and selected tour type.
  • Guided access to the Historic Ranch House, gardens, and barns.
  • The opportunity to customize your tour based on your group's interests.
  • Advance coordination of parking, arrival logistics, and accessibility accommodations.
  • A dedicated Rancho staff member to assist with planning your visit.

Planning Your Visit
Private docent-guided tours are available Thursday through Sunday before public hours and must be requested at least one month in advance,

Groups of 14 or fewer are encouraged to reserve a Docent-Guided Historic House Tour during public hours.

Groups larger than 50 visitors require a separate site rental inquiry due to parking capacity and site impact. Please submit your reservation request through our online booking software or contact us at (562) 431-3541 or [email protected].
