Please note:
- Photography is permitted in outdoor public areas only.
- Clothing, accessories, or props that shed glitter, sequins, confetti, feathers, or other decorative materials are not permitted.
- Balloons, streamers, smoke bombs, confetti, glitter, and similar decorative items are prohibited.
- Guests must remain on designated pathways and may not enter garden beds or livestock areas.
- Staff reserve the right to refuse or stop any photography session that does not comply with Rancho policies.

High School Formal Dance Photography
Prom, winter formal, and other school dances are memorable milestones, and Rancho Los Alamitos is pleased to offer a beautiful historic setting for pre-dance photography.
To help preserve the site and ensure a positive experience for all visitors, we ask all guests to respect our photography guidelines while on the property. As a nonprofit historic site with limited staff and resources, your cooperation helps us protect this special place and welcome everyone safely.
All formal dance photography sessions must be reserved in advance through our online booking system and are subject to availability. Reservations are required for all participants, including the photographer, students, family members, and chaperones attending the session.
Once a reservation is confirmed, guests will receive check-in instructions and site guidelines in advance of their visit. Please review these carefully, as clothing or props that do not comply with Rancho photography policies may not be permitted on site.
Rancho Los Alamitos reserves the right to limit site capacity based on staffing and to ensure a safe, enjoyable experience for all visitors. Large groups arriving without advance notice/reservations will not be permitted on site.

Commercial Photography and Filming
Commercial, promotional, and professional photography and filming at Rancho Los Alamitos require advance approval. Availability is based on staff capacity and the Rancho’s programming calendar. All commercial shoots require a reservation, signed agreement, proof of insurance, permits, and applicable fees.

Photography for Personal Use
Rancho Los Alamitos is a beautiful and rare open space in Long Beach, making it a popular place for photography. To help protect this historic site and ensure a positive experience for all visitors, all photography, including prom, engagement, wedding, quinceañera, birthday, family portrait, and other special occasion sessions, requires an advance reservation through our online booking system.
Standard photography reservations are free of charge and allow visitors to take photos in the Rancho's outdoor public areas during regular public hours.

Please Note: By making a reservation, you acknowledge that you have read and agree to comply with the Rancho Los Alamitos Photography Policy. Photography sessions that do not comply with these guidelines may be denied or discontinued without refund.
Photography is allowed in outdoor public areas only and must take place during public hours, Wednesday through Sunday from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM. Last admission for photography is 4:00 PM.
Photography sessions outside of public hours or with more than 25 guests require advance coordination and will be subject to a site rental fee. Please contact Rancho Los Alamitos at [email protected] to inquire about availability and rental rates.
All photographers and guests must check in at the Rancho Center Visitor Desk upon arrival and follow all site guidelines outlined in our Photography Policy. Visitors are responsible for ensuring that all clothing, accessories, and props comply with Rancho photography policies before arriving. Decorative materials that shed glitter, sequins, confetti, feathers, or other debris are prohibited to help protect the site's historic landscape, livestock, and wildlife.

Optional Celebration Photography Packages
For guests who would like to enhance their visit, Rancho Los Alamitos offers optional celebration photography packages designed for occasions such as engagements, quinceañeras, weddings, anniversaries, and milestone birthdays.
These packages include light appetizers or platters for guests to enjoy during their photography session. Packages do not include reserved photography locations, and all photography must still follow Rancho guidelines and remain in public outdoor areas.

DRONES |
All drones (Unmanned Aerial Systems) are prohibited at Rancho Los Alamitos and any unauthorized drone(s) observed over the Rancho will be reported to the FAA and local law enforcement, regardless of its point of origin or operation. Drones may pose a potential safety risk and may violate Federal Aviation Administration guidelines.
